It was produced within the 3 years that Chicago was manufacturing them. Before that I believe they were made somewhere in Japan for several years.ETA: Looks like the Model 500 was offered from 1966 through 1984. You can narrow it down a bit by importer (Ithaca was first, then Mitsui, then New SKB . . . though probably no "New SKB" Model 500 guns exist.).
