Even if you provide advice for only a portion of client's assets, the Morningstar Portfolio X-Ray™ report is a useful tool for analysing the client's complete portfolio. Run a report for allthe client's assets to show how your recommendations affect the composition, investment style, and sector exposure of the overall portfolio.Finally, my own calculations (trying to match MorningStar's Instant X-Ray) suggest that 3:1 FSIVX:DFEMX = total international stock market. However, some would say you want 80%/20% or even 85%/15% for these funds instead of the 75%/25% that I calculated.
