I purchased a used 03 Vulcan 800 Classic in March. I took it out today, filled up the tank, jumped on the Hiway and after about 2 miles the bike stalled as if I were out of gas. Most bikes would be about 15V at 5000 rpm, but you need to find the specs for your bike. It could be that the meter is off, though. You might want to check the voltage and the connection points with a multimeter to compare.
same problem as original post I have a 99 Vulcan Classic with 21,000 miles. Bike is stock except for Vance Hines exhaust. When bike is cold the clutch works fine. After about 15 minutes when the bike heats up the clutch starts to slip on acceleration. The hotter it gets the worse it slips. Then the clutch stops working completely.Vulcan 900 problems.
