The engine would turn over, but not start. By repeatedly turning the key on would it finally start. The various forums always focused on the thermistor, but then sometimes for a long ...After much deliberating, demoing, and unbiased consideration, I purchased a 4300 hst/ 430 loader with 299 hours on it. I have noticed from posts and dealers own mouths, that there can be some John Deere issues with this machine.Having problem with fuel gauge. read full with old sender, put in new sender still reads full. disconnect center wire and gauge goes to empty. Gauge not replacable, buy new dash 479.00. restance reading on sender is 9 to90 ohms just like the old one.Help RussHad the tractor towed into repair center and they installed a new fuel shutoff solenoid. That solved the problem for 9 months. When the problem started happening again, I simply bought another solenoid (fuel shutoff solenoid part # m810324) and swapped it out myself. This remove and replace fix solved the problem for a day.
