Still waiting for a Moonveil Katana nerf that'll actually balance it. My dual giant crushers don't care about the katanas. Moonveil is fine coming from a str pvp main. Jul 4, 2022 · The cold-infusion of the uchigatana has b and c scaling and dexterity and intelligence which isn't quite as good as moonveil, but it's still pretty good. It allows you to set the frostbite status effect and it has bleed build up just like the moonveil katana. It's still pretty damn OP - they nerfed the crazy posture damage on the weapon art, but it still does tons of damage for its speed/range/FP cost - but there's no reason not to use it if you think it's cool. And they are hella fun. The charged R2 attack can hit enemies in the air. And the R1 hits in an aoe which is also nice.

I'm pretty sure the only thing that changed with Moonveil is that it's poise damage was slightly decreased in PvP only . Should be exactly the same in PvE. Also, a ton of weapons had poise damage nerfed in PvP, not just katanas. So, effectively, most weapons weren't really nerfed.
