While taking everything apart I noticed that the spool / pulley that the cable wraps around is quite worn down and I used a mini hand saw to make the grooves a bit deeper before putting it all back together.1. I do not think you can replace just the cable. I have pulled my internal trim panels off to replace the door rollers and had to release the cable tension. I do not remember seeing that the cable was separate from the motor. Also, from the service parts diagram, it does not appear that they sell it as a seperate part. 2. Regarding the break.
