The Glock 19 is 6.85 x 5.00. The Glock 17 is 7.32 x 5.43. The Glock 34 is 8.15 x 5.43. The XD subcompact is 6.25 x 4.75. The XD service is 7.3 x 5.50. The XD tactical is 8.30 x 5.50. The glock 19 is not that much larger than an XD subcompact. It fits in as a compact between a subcompact and a service model.
