Currently you have to equip it and kill the clothier indirectly (e.g. drop him in lava), but the patch notes for 1.2.0.3 mention that he can be killed directly by the player in the next update. Tossing the Guide Voodoo Doll in the lava kills the Guide, if one is alive, and if there was a living Guide to kill, summons the Wall of Flesh.I thought maybe the clothier voodoo doll is not working because I did not defeat Skeletron, but I can access the dungeon, and the old man is not there.
