Hatchling Member. Jun 9, 2013. #1. Hello, I've noticed the last few days that my bearded dragon has had a black beard. She seems to be normal as always, just a black beard. She isn't puffed up and she does not have any stress marks on her belly. When I take her out of her viv, the black fades to a lighter grey. She has been eating normally.I’ve had my bearded dragon for about five months and he didn’t start turning his beard black until recently, so I’m still new at understanding what it means. I recently got a cat, but he did it a few times before we did (I’ve only had the cat for about a week).
