Feb 6, 2017 · I drive highway (70-80 mph) everyday to and from work. I have tried the "defouler", sea foam, and cataclean. If I disconnect battery the check emissions (0420 code) and SH-AWD warning come on within a day. I am afraid I just need to bite the bullet and replace the cat converter and O2 sensors. Sad, but I plan to drive the vehicle a few more years. The check vsa, sh-awd, abs system warning and trailer stability warning all came on when I started the my 2012 MDX. The engine would not exceed 1500 rpms so basically undriveable. I disconnected the battery and hooked back up and restarted and everything was fine. Then 4 days later it happened again.We've had a two instances of Check Engine & SH-AWD warnings happen over the course of its life, but those went away with a good fuel system clean. We started getting just a SH-AWD light in the past week - and once or twice we've had a Check Engine too. Changing coils and plugs seemed to solve the Check Engine (which was a misfire code).
