The problem comes when its in gear it will go into all gears but inbetween dips down in rpm but will idle and roll, but once you tap the gas move and ...A stock converter for the TH350 behind this engine in a pickup truck is going to stall around 1600 rpm. It would work. Increasing the stall to 2000 or so would reduce creep at idle, would go into gear a bit smoother, as well as put the engine closer to where it's coming on the powerband.
