Then the starter went bad, so it sat for a week until i got the new starter in. I had to remove the beltcase and also the flywheel on the other side of the motor, so that I could get the new starter motor and gear in.
I recently received 2 Polaris Xplorer 300's with very low compression. One a 96 the other a 98. I tore the 98 apart and replaced the crank seals and did a top end. You will just have to adjust the idle by sound I presume you do not have a tach. You should disassemble the carb and clean it.
