The 8 exhaust holes must be drilled AND double "heli-coiled" in the heads and care must be taken not to drill into the heat-crossover on those respective studs! They were produced in the millions and if you are rebuilding a 70's era 350, more than likely it will have a set of these heads on it. There are different variations of the 882 head, which has been stated already.1973 heads would be the 993's for the 1.94's and did not have the hard seats or at least wasn't good enough to tell. I've done dozens of them and they are soft. 882's did have the inducted seats but are crappy heads.
