The 205, although bulletproof and twin stick able, is a pain to make a doubler for because of the location of the rear shift pin as well as other bumps in the front of the case. This is a common problem for commercial 203/205 doubler adapters as it takes some clever machining to get around.The doubler is cheaper. So is the question a 2spd atlas vs a box/205? Or 4spd vs 4spd? Ill take the doubler every time. Obviously gear choice is a huge advantage of the atlas 4spd. I have a c6/205 now and plan to keep the 205 with a doubler. I want the 2:1 for racing, and the 5.x for trails either fun or in race situations. I can't part with the twin stick capabilities now that I finally have it though.
